How we make money
A review site that will not say how it is paid is asking you to trust it on nothing. Here is the whole arrangement.
- How this site is funded
- Some links to vendors are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you subscribe after clicking one. That commission is paid by the vendor and costs you nothing. It is the main way this site is funded.
- What that does not buy
- A commission has no effect on a score, a ranking or a recommendation. Scores are set against the published rubric before anyone checks whether a programme exists. We have recommended tools that pay us nothing and marked down tools that do.
- What we refuse
- We do not accept payment for placement, sponsored reviews, guest posts or link insertions. We do not accept review copies in exchange for coverage, and we do not send drafts to vendors before publication.
- How to tell
- Outbound links to vendors carry rel="nofollow sponsored". If you would rather not pass a referral, the vendor name at the top of each profile is always reachable by typing it into a search engine.
- Corrections
- Prices and features change without notice, and every page shows the date its information was last checked. If something is wrong, tell us and we will change the page rather than defend it.
