Free trial reminder

Put a reminder in your calendar before a free trial starts charging, while you can still cancel.

Remind me

The calendar file is made in your browser · Nothing is sent to us

Why a reminder beats a mental note

A free trial is designed to end quietly. The sign-up takes a minute, the end date is weeks away, and the first charge arrives on a day you are thinking about something else.

Set the reminder in the same minute you start the trial, and set it a day or more early. Some services charge at the start of the last day, and cancelling can take longer than you expect.

Common questions

Which calendars does the file work with?
The .ics file is the standard calendar format. Apple Calendar, Outlook and most phone calendars open it directly. In Google Calendar on a computer, use the Add to Google Calendar links, or import the file under Settings, Import & export.
When exactly does a free trial end?
It varies by service, and some charge at the start of the last day rather than the end. Check the date on the sign-up email or in the store’s subscriptions page, and choose a reminder at least a day before it.
Does this cancel anything for me?
No. It only reminds you. Cancelling happens in the service itself, or in the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed through your phone.
Is anything I type saved or sent?
No. The file is made on this page. A Google Calendar link sends the reminder text to Google only when you click it, because that is how Google’s add-event page works.
