How to recover something you deleted
Most apps do not delete anything straight away. Deleted items wait in a bin or on a recovery page for a set time, often 30 days, and can be restored until then. Each guide below shows where that place is in one app, how long it keeps things, and what is left to try once the time is up.

How the apps compare
How long you have depends on the app. Gmail keeps deleted mail in Trash for 30 days. Outlook.com keeps removed mail recoverable for 30 days, while work mailboxes on Exchange Online default to 14. Notion keeps a deleted page in Trash for 30 days by default, and Spotify keeps a deleted playlist on its Recover playlists page for 90 days. If something matters, restore it the day you notice it is gone.
